The Visco foam overlay was developed in 1966 by NASA to improve the safety of aircraft cushions. Visco foam reacts to body heat, allowing it to mould to a warm body in a few minutes and then return to its original shape once body weight is removed. Memory foam increases blood flow to regions of the body alleviating pressure sores. The Ergopedic is a perfect option for users with back issues, or users with requirements for long periods of sitting.
